Miriam Jiménez Román Fellowship
The Miriam Jiménez Román Fellowship supports post-doctoral candidates and junior scholars whose research advances the study of Afro-Latinx communities in the U.S.
The open call for the 2025-26 MJR Fellow is now open, the deadline is April 30th.
Public Humanities Fellowship
TLP’s Public Humanities Fellowship will offer up to 10 graduate students at NYU or Inter-University Doctoral Consortium institutions the opportunity to gain career-building experience with local arts and culture organizations.
The application process for the 2025-26 Public Humanities Fellowship is now open the deadline is April 30th.
Intervenxions
Intervenxions is an online publication of TLP that features original writings, criticism, and interviews exploring contemporary Latinx Art, Politics, & Culture. While pitches are welcome year-round, the publication actively publishes during the months of the academic year from September through May.
Faculty Working Group
TLP sponsors F.W.G. investigating Latinx topics of interest in order to create opportunities for interdisciplinary/collaborative projects with faculty & students. Pitches and inquiries are accepted year-round.
Grad Student Working Group
TLP’s Graduate Student Working Group provides enhanced support for a collaborative community engaged in Latinx studies. Check back here for the group’s schedule.
TLP Conference
TLP Conference is an annual initiative generated by NYU faculty/student communities, exploring the latest developments in Latinx Studies and critical race theory scholarship. We are currently seeking contributors for our upcoming conference on October 10, 2025. Aesthetics of Joy and Refuge in Contemporary Culture: An Interdisciplinary Symposium will be hosted and presented by The Latinx Project. The deadline to apply is June 29, 2025
