Intervenxions: Vol. 5 Launch

On October 3, 2026, Intervenxions Vol. 5 will launch at La Feria: Print Media Fair. The first printed volume—released in 2022—was a way to preserve digital content in physical media, but it has become more than that. The volume is a collection of some of our most impactful pieces of the past year. It’s also an opportunity to highlight the unsung heroes in our communities.

From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., we’ll be serving special treats to celebrate the publication. Meet editors Yara Simón and Alex Santana as well as contributors to the publication.

This year’s issue examines hidden art scenes and subcultures across three sections: Germination, Regional Undergrounds, and Aftereffects. The front and back covers feature the works of Eliezer Parrilla Mena, a New York-born artist whose work spans more than five decades.

Vol. 5 includes 15 articles by a diverse group of writers:

  • Emanuel Bravo

  • Xavi Burgos

  • Dr. Christopher Chávez

  • C.J. Chueca

  • Arlene Dávila

  • Maya Doig-Acuña

  • John H. Guevara
